Mix & Burn was incorporated in 2003 and pioneered the retail music-on-demand industry by being the first to offer all major label content for in-store CD Burning by late 2004.

With a handful of national retail pilots underway with Best Buy, Sam Goody, Trans World Entertainment and Borders, we had sold over a million songs by mid 2005. The music retail landscape was shifting rapidly, however and we focused our attention on perfecting the catalog and processes for operating our kiosks dependably.

In 2006 TransWorld Entertainment (TWE) acquired a majority interest in Mix & Burn and the companies went on to integrate the Mix & Burn system into TWE’s already successful Listening and Viewing system. Integrating with existing networks and kiosk systems has since become a core competency. Today with the benefit of conducting tests in over 20 different types of retail venues and installing over 50 stores nationwide, we are growing our installation base with the most effective and successful systems in the industry.
